Mushrooms, the Immune Booster

1 minute, 10 seconds Read

I started researching medicinal mushrooms last year. There are so many varieties but what I was looking for, and most interested in, was immune boosting mushrooms.

I fell in December and broke my ankle in four places. They called it a trimalleolor fracture. Tri means three and I had one extra break to “boot”. When I fell, I was taking immunosuppressants for an autoimmune disease. I ended up getting a staph infection that my body and antibiotics couldn’t handle. I needed a boost. After 14 weeks on antibiotics, my white blood count and other indicators was still low.

All of my efforts studying mushrooms, I felt, was the answer! I bought and started taking mushrooms immediately. I thought my infection would surely heal, but it didn’t. What did happen was my white cell and other indicators came up (not just because of the infection). The problem was that the infection had already attached to the hardware. No amount of mushrooms and antibiotics would help.

This event in my life made me jump start my efforts to make my own mushroom tinctures. They are still in the making and will be ready soon! I only made a small batch of each to see how they sell.

I bought the fruitbody and double extracted them. Double extraction gets the best properties out of the strain.

I didn't know my "calling" for natural medicinal herbs until the past few years. I see so many autoimmune diseases popping up in me and my family that I decided to look into natural, alternative healing from what God gave us.
